This charity was set up in memory of Joshua-Kyle Rea who suffered from a rare genetic disorder and sadly passed away at 9 months.  The trusts aim is to help children whose life expectancy is less that 5 years, primarily suffering from rare genetic disorders.

We provide equipment and luxury items such as small toys, soft furnishings etc. to enhance the child's quality of life. Whilst at hospital with Joshua-Kyle for 5 months we noticed the lack of facilities and equipment for children with special needs. Joshua-Kyle, like so many other terminally ill children needed specialist toys as he had very little strength, but still needed to be stimulated as his mind was very active. We had no seating for him - a simple beanbag could have made a big difference to him, a tempura mattress would have made his muscles less painful, the list goes on.

As parents we didn't want to go shopping for these items, and leave Joshua-Kyle, as every moment was precious. The trust will now take the pressure parents, we now have contacts for those specialized items and we provide the various items for the child, which can be used in hospital or at home. It is a gift to the child to provide a better quality of life, comfort and hopefully some smiles.
